Day 43 is a challenge day for the back of the shoulders: reverse angels, 60 reps for Level I, 80 for Level II, 100 for Level III, split into manageable sets. No timer, no set count. Reps are totals, and each rep is one full sweep of both arms.
A reverse angel is done lying face down. Start with the arms stretched straight overhead and hovering off the floor, then sweep them out and back in a wide arc until the hands reach the hips, keeping them lifted the whole way, then sweep back overhead. Every inch of that arc is worked by the rear shoulders and upper back, the muscles that hold the shoulders back against everything else the program has been doing with them. The count is high because each rep is light; the fatigue is in keeping the arms off the floor for the whole set.
Keep the forehead resting or the neck long and the gaze at the floor; do not crane the head up. The arms stay straight and hover a few inches up throughout. Lead the sweep from between the shoulder blades and squeeze them together as the hands pass the shoulders. Rest with the arms down whenever the hover fails, then continue.
Sixty to a hundred sweeps, face down, and the shoulders find out what was behind them all along.
Make it Harder: Sweep the arms at a 3-count each way with the hands hovering a little higher than feels natural.
Make it Easier: Bend the elbows slightly to shorten the arc and split the total into sets of ten.
