Crafted is a dumbbell workout for the chest, shoulders and triceps - the pressing chain, built here without a single press. Chest rows, lateral raises and overhead tricep extensions: three movements, modest reps, strict standards. The name is the method. Nothing about this session is mass-produced; every rep is supposed to look like someone made it by hand, on purpose, and checked it before shipping.
The circuit runs without rest between exercises, and the three stations divide the territory cleanly. Chest rows open with the highest rep count - 12 pulls of the dumbbells up the body's midline to chest height, working the chest and front delts through a vertical path most pressing programs never visit. Lateral raises follow at just 6 reps, and the low count is a quality clause: six strict, floating reps hit the side delts harder than fifteen swung ones, and the workout knows it. Overhead tricep extensions close the set at 6 per arm, taking each tricep through its longest stretch - loaded overhead, lowered behind the head - which is where the muscle's biggest head actually does its growing. Small numbers, full ranges, zero rush: workshop rules.
Pull chest rows with elbows leading and the dumbbells traveling close to the body, stopping at collarbone height. On lateral raises, keep a soft elbow bend and lift only to shoulder height, with no lean-back and no bounce out of the bottom. In overhead extensions, lock the working elbow beside your head and move only the forearm, lowering slow and pressing to a full lockout overhead.
Factories ship volume. Workshops ship things that last - and this is workshop labor, six honest reps at a time.
Make it Harder: Add a 2-second lowering phase to every rep of all three exercises.
Make it Easier: Go lighter on the dumbbells and cut the chest rows to 8.
