Day 41 is a full body circuit with the arms throwing in two directions: 12 hero squats, 12 overhead punches, 12 punches, 12 squat hold punches and 12 side leg raises. All five is one set, up to 2 minutes rest, 3, 5 or 7 sets by level. Overhead punches are new, and the side leg raises are the standing version from the Day 6 challenge.
Overhead punches are thrown from a boxer stance straight up rather than straight ahead, one fist reaching for the ceiling at a time with the other guarding the chin, 12 in total, 6 per arm. They work the shoulders from a different angle than regular punches, which come next, and the squat hold punches after that combine legs and arms again. Hero squats open the card with the full reach and fold, and standing side leg raises close it with 6 per leg, alternating, the hip lifting a straight leg out to the side.
Reach high and sink low on the hero squats. Punch upward with a full extension of the arm and a turn of the shoulder, keeping the other fist up. Regular punches with the same rotation. In the squat hold punches, the squat stays put. Side leg raises with the toes forward and the body upright, not leaning away from the leg.
Punches up, punches out, and the legs holding their ground underneath all of it.
Make it Harder: Sit in a 10-count squat hold before the squat hold punches every set.
Make it Easier: Cut the hero squats and squat hold punches to 8 and keep the punches at 12.
